SLAB strives to ensure that KU students have a voice in such political arenas as the Kansas Legislature, the Lawrence City Commission, Douglas County government, and the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce.

At KU, we don’t just do “the wave,” we “Wave the Wheat.” At crucial moments in Kansas athletic events, Jayhawks lift their arms above their heads, swaying them back and forth to look like a Kansas wheat field.
