Journey to Carnegie - Part 3 The third video in this series, "Journey to Carnegie: From Concept to Concert Hall," highlights the KU Wind Ensemble's trip to New York City for the world premiere of "In the Shadow of No Towers" at Carnegie Hall on March 26, 2013. One week later, the Ensemble performed the Midwest premiere of the piece at the Lied Center of Kansas in Lawrence. The piece was written by New York City composer Mohammed Fairouz and commissioned by Reach Out Kansas Inc. for the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble.
