Government Relations


Government Relations staff advocates on behalf of KU and oversees interactions with policymakers at the local, state and federal levels. Our Government Relations team also collects and distributes information to faculty, staff, students and alumni on KU legislative and policy issues; schedules appointments for faculty and students with elected officials and representatives from government agencies; represents KU at meetings with federal and state officials; and acts as a resource for students seeking jobs in government relations.

Our team is divided into two areas:

KU employees should be aware of the university's guidelines and procedures for interacting with elected officials.
