Lisa Cloar

Lisa Cloar is the executive assistant to the chief strategic communication officer and vice chancellor. In this role she primarily provides administrative support to the vice chancellor managing scheduling, travel, communication, and other tasks to ensure the office's efficiency and effectiveness. Lisa also provides general assistance to all staff in the Office of Public Affairs and works closely with the director of ceremonies and special events.

Lisa previously served as the office manager of the KU History of Art Department from 2013-2022, and prior to that was the manager of Goldmakers Jewelry in downtown Lawrence, KS. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Kansas as a double major in jewelry & metalsmithing and history of art. A native of North Carolina, Lisa has resided in Lawrence, KS since 2001.
