Strategic Communications

Strategic Communications staff are responsible for executive-level communications, issues management and environmental scanning, ensuring consistency in messaging across the university, social media strategy, coordinating communications with external partners, and managing communications that have significant legal, legislative or reputational ramifications for KU.

Chancellor's Messages: This includes the Chancellor's twice-monthly Monday Messages

Chancellor's Speeches: This includes speeches for Commencement and Convocation and high-level appearances nationwide

Chancellor's Report: The university's annual report highlighting our best achievements and successes

KU Roundup: A twice-monthly e-newsletter sent to Kansas legislators

Legislative Testimonies: Presentations prepared for Legislative committees

Alumni Messages: Regular legislative updates to alumni advocates 

Fact Sheets: One-page summaries of topics such as KU's budget, economic impact and medical outreach

KU Talking Points: A monthly e-newsletter for KU Communicators

Master Integrated Calendar: A 12-month calendar of message themes for KU Communicators

KU Works: An annual publication highlighting KU's outreach efforts across the state
